The Estádio AXA or Braga Municipal Stadium, known as "The Quarry", it is stated as an asset to the county, promoting the city and region.

Designed by Portuguese architect Eduardo Souto Moura and Rui Furtado Engineer Portuguese, is a work of particular beauty, as part of the unusual architecture and engineering "a great work of art ', which is creating the Urban Park located in the hillside of Monte Castro in the periphery of the urban area of Braga facing the valley of the Rio Cávado.

The stadium is currently used by the Sporting Clube de Braga.
