If visitor is coming from the European Union, as member of the Schengen agreement, may enter freely in Portugal. If this agreement does not incorporate, you need an identity card which, according to the Portuguese regulations, will be the valid passport and in some cases a visa.

Customs Formalities:

There are no restrictions on the removal of articles. If you carry a quantity that seems excessive to customs officials, you may be asked to prove that the items are for your personal.

Vaccination and prevention of health:

You do not need any vaccinations before traveling to the area. The emergency service in public hospitals to EU citizens is free, private medical care is suitable for visitors of other nationalities.
